Tachimetro ("the app") is an Android app that displays your current GPS speed full-screen. This policy explains how data is handled when you use the app.
The app requests the Precise location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) permission to read the device's GPS position via Google Play Services (FusedLocationProviderClient). This data is used solely to compute the current speed shown on screen.
Nowhere outside your device. The app does not request Internet access, and therefore cannot transmit any data to remote servers, third-party services, advertising networks, or analytics providers. GPS location is processed entirely in memory, on-device, and is never written to disk or shared.
When the app is connected to Android Auto, the same GPS location also feeds the car screen. This happens entirely on the device, with no transmission and no additional permissions: nothing more is collected than when you use the app on the phone alone.
The app stores locally on the device (via Android SharedPreferences), and never transmits elsewhere:
None of these is linkable to your identity, and none of them ever leaves the device. The "Reset" button in the app clears both the max speed and the travelled distance at any time; uninstalling the app deletes everything.
The app uses Google Play Services solely for the location API (FusedLocationProviderClient). No advertising SDKs, analytics, or tracking of any kind are integrated.
The app is not specifically directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children — it does not collect identifying data of any kind.
